Common Questions About Joining

What happens at the monthly meetings?

Our meetings are a blend of networking, a delicious dinner, and an educational program. We focus on creating an environment where women can connect authentically while learning about issues that impact our community and careers.

I’m just starting my career—is this for me?

Absolutely! BPW is built on the idea of mentorship. New professionals gain access to a network of seasoned leaders and business owners who are eager to share their experiences and help you navigate your professional journey.

Is there a high time commitment?

We know your time is valuable. Our primary commitment is our monthly meeting, but you can choose to dive deeper by joining a committee, attending state activties, or participating in our social programs as your schedule allows.

I am retired—is there still a place for me in BPW?

Always! Our retired members are the cornerstone of our chapter, providing the mentorship and historical perspective that makes our organization unique. Whether you are looking to stay active in legislative advocacy, mentor younger professionals, or simply enjoy the community of like-minded women, your experience is our greatest asset.

Who We Are

UPBPW

The Upper Perkiomen chapter of Business and Professional Women (BPW) is part of a historic statewide organization of over 1,100 members dedicated to elevating the lives and careers of working women. Since its inception in 1919, BPW has been a pioneer in advocacy, famously becoming one of the first organizations to endorse the Equal Rights Amendment in 1937.

Today, our local chapter serves as a vibrant bridge between generations. We bring together the wisdom of seasoned professionals and retired executives with the fresh ambition of emerging entrepreneurs. Whether you are looking for high-level networking, legislative advocacy, or meaningful mentorship, you will find a seat at our table.
